Contribution Rules
- By making a contribution to Hansley for Louisiana, you certify and acknowledge that:
- Source of Funds. This contribution is made from your own funds or from funds you are legally authorized to contribute and is not being made on behalf of another person or entity.
- Accurate Information. You have provided your true legal name and accurate contact, employment, and payment information.
- Legal Eligibility. You are legally permitted to make this contribution under the Louisiana Campaign Finance Disclosure Act and all other applicable laws.
- Contribution Limits. Your aggregate contributions to Hansley for Louisiana will not exceed the applicable contribution limits established by Louisiana law. For most contributors, the maximum contribution is $6,000 per election. Certain qualified political committees may contribute up to $12,000 per election as permitted under Louisiana law. No contributor may exceed the applicable contribution limits.
- Aggregate Contributions. Contribution limits apply to the total of all monetary and applicable in-kind contributions made by a contributor for each election.
- Reporting Requirements. You understand that Hansley for Louisiana is required by law to collect and publicly report contributor information, including, when applicable, your name, address, occupation, employer, contribution amount, and the date of your contribution.
- Authorization. You authorize Hansley for Louisiana and its payment processors to collect, use, and maintain the information you provide for the purpose of processing your contribution and complying with all applicable campaign finance reporting requirements.
- Tax Status. Contributions to Hansley for Louisiana are not tax deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes.
- Campaign Payment Procedures. To maintain proper financial controls, transparency, and compliance with campaign finance requirements, all campaign-related payments, reimbursements, and transactions must be processed through the campaign's approved payment methods and financial procedures.
- The use of personal payment platforms, including but not limited to Cash App, Venmo, Zelle, or similar peer-to-peer payment applications, for receiving, sending, or managing campaign funds is not permitted.
- Campaign Rights. Hansley for Louisiana reserves the right to refuse, refund, redesignate, or otherwise address any contribution that exceeds legal limits, cannot be accepted, or is prohibited by applicable law.
- Certification. By submitting your contribution, you certify that the information provided is true and accurate and that your contribution complies with all applicable campaign finance laws.
